A SECOND man has been arrested after a teenage boy suffered a serious eye injury in an attack on New Year's Eve.
The casualty, 13, was walking along Wimborne Road in Poole close to the junction with Tatnam Road and the Co-Op food store between 8pm and 8.15pm when he felt something hit him on the leg.
He turned round and was then hit in the eye by an object.
He was taken to hospital and later discharged, although continues to receive specialist treatment.
The extent of his injury is not yet known.
Police believe the schoolboy could have been struck by a projectile fired from a catapult, BB gun or air gun.
A 19-year-old man from Poole was arrested this morning on suspicion of wounding with intent. A 20-year-old man from Poole was also arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent. Both men are assisting officers with their enquiries.
