THE POPULAR carol service hosted by AFC Bournemouth takes place on Tuesday December 5, with proceedings getting underway at 6.30pm.

Last year's Community Carol Service event drew more than a thousand people to Vitality Stadium for an hour of carols, choirs and interviews.

This year's service will again be free to attend and take place in the main stand.

Members of Cherries first team and youth teams are expected to be in attendance, along with chairman Jeff Mostyn and other club staff.

A collection will take place at the event for the Salvation army and the club's chosen charities for this year.

AFC Bournemouth's new club chaplain told the Premier League team's official website: "The carol service has now become an integral part of the Cherries' Christmas season and we invite anyone to come and enjoy carols and hear about the heart of Christmas in a totally unique environment.

"It's fantastic for the club to open their doors and enable the community to enjoy this free event - we look forward to seeing you then."
