A TEENAGER arrested following an alleged rape has been released without charge.
The 15-year-old boy was detained by police on Wednesday following reports that a 17-year-old girl had been raped in Bristol Road, Sherborne.
A major police investigation was launched and several homes and a communal garden were cordoned off to allow officers to question residents.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "A 15-year-old boy from Sherborne was arrested on suspicion of rape but, following extensive enquiries by officers, has now been released without charge.
"Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident."
