I was transported back to the '70s (yes I was there!) at the fun-filled party that is Dancing Queen, a colourful show celebrating timeless hits from that pop phenomenon ABBA.

This Spirit Productions show features a dynamic and energetic cast of singers and dancers, dazzling choreography and a glittering array of costumes and outfits in the psychedelic colours of the era.

The musical extravaganza began its journey through the decade with a rousing rendition of the title song by the four brilliantly talented lead singers and a company of 16 fantastic dancers.

It was the start of an enthusiastic wall-to-wall performance of ABBA hits including Mamma Mia, Money Money Money, Knowing Me Knowing You and Fernando.

There was also a '70s celebration that included a powerful performance of Lulu's Shout (slightly out of place as the song was actually a hit in 1964), a compilation of highlights from the film Saturday Night Fever and a rousing performance of those Village people hits YMCA and In The Navy.

The show, which is performed Saturdays and Sundays until August 12, ended with an exhilarating performance of Waterloo that had us dancing, singing and swinging in the aisles.
