A NEW quiet garden in Poole Park is nearing completion.
Volunteers have been working to plant the garden area on the former go-karting site in the park.
It is due to be completed on Wednesday, November 22, between 11am and 2pm.
Designed with the help of volunteers, the garden will provide a new experience for park users seeking calm and relaxation in an outdoor setting.
The careful use of plants, paths and seating will add to the sensory experience.
The project also aims to improve the wellbeing of park users, especially people with mental health issues, learning disabilities and people suffering from an illness or trauma.
A Borough of Poole spokesperson said: "Our volunteers have done a fantastic job and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has been involved so far.
"We also have lots of opportunities to donate to different aspects of the quiet garden, including benches, bird feeders and future planting."
