DETECTIVES investigating an attempted robbery in Christchurch have issued a second CCTV image of the suspect.

At around 7.55pm on Tuesday, October 31, a man walked into the Honeymoon Chinese takeaway in Lymington Road, Highliffe, and demanded money from a member of staff.

No weapons were seen and no threats were made. No money was handed over and the man left the scene on a bicycle, which had been left outside the shop.

The man had the lower part of his face covered with a scarf. He was described as white and possibly aged in his 20s.

Detective Constable Neil Jones, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We have already issued one image of the suspect however, it was not of very good quality.

“Following subsequent CCTV enquiries I am now in a position to issue a second image from a different camera and I would urge anyone who recognises the man pictured to please contact Dorset Police.

“Finally, I would ask anyone who was in the Lymington Road area at the relevant time and saw anything suspicious to please contact me.”
