A MAN is assisting police with their enquiries following a CCTV appeal launched in connection with an alleged assault.
The 67-year-old Bournemouth man was identified following the appeal, which ran in the Daily Echo. No arrests have been made.
On Saturday lunchtime, August 12, a man boarded a bus outside the Christopher Creeke pub, Holdenhurst Road, and reportedly made a number or racist comments to a woman who was sitting with her child.
After the bus driver remonstrated with him, and contacted the police, this man got off and was challenged by the victim - a man in his 70s.
The man allegedly kicked the victim in the shin three times before walking off and going into The George Tapps pub, Old Christchurch Road.
