A PLANE made an emergency landing after sending out a distress alert.
Police, fire, ambulance and Swanage Coastguard crews were called on Friday after being alerted by air traffic control in Bournemouth.
The aircraft landed on Fitzworth Heath in the Purbeck area.
No one was harmed in the incident.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We were notified at 2.48pm of a possible light aircraft in distress in the area of Corfe Castle.
"The owner is liaising with the civil aviation authority about recovery of the aircraft.
"The plane landed safely and there was no fire or injuries."
