HUNDREDS of residents in parts of East Dorset were left without power twice on Thursday.
Properties in West Moors, St Leonards and Ferndown were affected by two separate outages.
The first power cut was reported at 8.39am and power was restored just after 9am.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) said 1,230 customers were affected in the BH22 area.
A spokesperson from SSEN said: “Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) was alerted to a power cut in the BH22 area at 8.38am on Thursday, September 7, after a fault was detected on a high voltage line."
"SSEN would like to apologise to its customers for any inconvenience the power cut has caused and thanks them for their patience while our engineers work to safely restore their supply."
However, hours later residents were hit by a second power cut with another fault reported at 12.52pm.
Power has now been restored.
