A BOSCOMBE councillor has thrown his support behind a school targeted by vandals.
Cllr Phil Stanley-Watts, who represents Boscombe West, described the repeated vandalism at St Clement's and St John's School as "senseless".
The school has been damaged in four separate incident during the summer holidays, with a classroom for special needs pupils vandalised as well as outdoor equipment left strewn around the playground.
Headteacher Andy Poole said staff had come in during their break to help put the damage right.
And he appealed to the community for help in catching the culprits.
Cllr Stanley-Watts, responding to the incidents, said: "It is a senseless act of vandalism against the school.
"I will be raising this at the neighbourhood meeting on September 5.
"It really is the pits for people to do this."
