POLICE were called after a row between a group of people in Poole on Sunday afternoon.
Officers attended Knowlton Road in Canford Heath at 4.30pm on Sunday after reports of the verbal altercation between the group.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said there were reports that one person had a knife - but it had not been used and no-one had been threatened with it.
Officers attended and a 19-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
A knife matching the description was also seized.
The man has been released on police bail until the middle of September 2017.
