FANS of pop star Olly Murs have praised the singer for “working on something” after his Bournemouth concert was cancelled.
The pop idol was set to perform at King’s Park on Saturday, August 5, as part of a series of open-air performances being held across the country this summer.
Organisers Stephen C Associates released a statement on Wednesday to announce they had gone bust and would not be offering refunds for the cancelled show.
Fans left disappointed and out of pocket and called on Murs to take matters into his own hands and help out his fans.
And on Friday the former X Factor star tweeted to say he and his team were “working on something” and that an announcement would be made today.
To my Exeter & Bournemouth Fans I know you're disappointed & I don't blame you. We're working on something! Stay tuned for news on Monday!😘

Over the weekend fans have praised the star on social media for getting involved.
Sandra Langridge said: “I’m sure Olly will not let his fans down, and will do all he can to get the show on again. [He’s a] really genuine guy and grateful to each and every one of his fans for his success. Hope Monday brings good news for all.”
And Jamie Simmons said: “Well, that’s Olly. He’s all about the fans and not the money.”
