A MAN was hit over the head with a drill as he tried to stop someone breaking into his car.
The incident happened sometime between 8.50pm and 9pm on Monday, July 3 in Sandford Road, Wareham.
A dark blue Ford Focus was seen parked up in Keysworth Road. A man got out of the vehicle, walked to an address in Sandford Road and attempted to gain access to a car which was parked in a driveway.
The owner confronted the offender and was struck over the head with a drill. The victim – a local man aged in his 40s – sustained a cut to his head which required hospital treatment.
Police are asking any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage who was driving along the road at the time to come forward.
