A NEW FOREST themed adventure golf course has opened in Lymington - and you can even take a ride on the Isle of Wight ferry.
The new challenging 18-hole course, which is part of Walhampton Golf Centre, is styled around notable landmarks of the area.
Located behind the Lymington ferry overflow car park off South Baddesley Road, New Forest Adventure Golf includes flowing streams, slanting greens and animal features.
The star element is the ferry, which players have to board to cross the river on two occasions throughout their round.
Landlord Brian Goodall, who is director of Walhampton Golf Centre and the neighbouring Goodall's Strawberry Farm, was keen to deliver something which resonated with the New Forest and offered more than a typical crazy golf course.
"We didn't want bright colours, dinosaurs and pirate ships. We just didn't think it was appropriate and it came together really quickly," he said.
"It's fun for all the family but it is also challenging for everyone including professional golfers."
Staff are planning an open day to officially launch the new course after drawing big numbers since opening to the public last weekend.
