The NPAS helicopter was called to assist with three incidents in Dorset overnight.
Concerns for a man's welfare sparked a search in Christchurch late on Wednesday including the NPAS helicopter crew.
The man, in his 40s, had not been seen since 5.30pm that evening. Following a search it was reported that the man had returned home shortly after 4am the following morning safe and well.
Police were called to a possible cash machine being tampered with after an alarm sounded at Tesco Express, Ringwood Road at around 3am on Thursday.
A search was carried out of the area's cashpoints, with support from the NPAS helicopter crew, but nothing untoward was found.
Officers continue to search for a missing man who was last seen at 8am on Wednesday.
The man, aged in his 40s, was reported missing at 11pm that evening.
