I AM absolutely furious at how politicians of all parties continue to place an agreement for EU citizens living here and ex-pats living abroad at the top of the Brexit agenda.
The EU citizens chose to come here and the expats choose to live in other countries, so how about placing the British people’s needs at the top of the Brexit agenda.
Most people who voted for Brexit did so because of their concerns over immigration so that should be top of the Brexit agenda.
It must be remembered that it is the EU insistence on the free movement of people and their intransigence on this issue that brought the Brexit referendum into being in the first place.
Having said that one must not forget the failure, or rather should that be the deliberate action of previous governments in failing to curb migration from non-EU countries.
The EU are the ones who are saying that without accepting free movement of people within the EU then we cannot have access to the single market and customs union.
Let’s not forget that point as it seems to be distorted by many politicians to suit their needs.
Politicians, and media correspondents in particular, still fail to realise how important the control of our borders and immigration are to the ordinary man and woman on the street.
