AN 80-YEAR-OLD man visiting Bournemouth on a religious retreat died after falling out of bed and hitting his head on a bedside cabinet, an inquest heard.
Harvey Rich, described as thin and frail, was staying at the Queens Hotel in Meyrick Road when the accident happened on April 12.
Dorset Coroner Rachael Griffin heard Mr Rich, from Streatham in London, appeared well immediately after the fall but became unwell two days later.
The Bournemouth court heard he was taken to Poole Hospital where he died of brain injuries.
The coroner recorded a verdict of accidental death.
