A SPATE of graffiti and vandalism in the Lower Gardens will be discussed at a meeting on Wednesday.
The Lower Central Gardens Trust Board, which manages the area, will receive an update from council parks officers after glass panels in the bandstand were smashed, and graffiti daubed around the Pine Walk art exhibition.
The incidents are said to have taken place in the "early spring" this year.
According to a report prepared for the board, "all broken panels have been boarded and made safe", while the graffiti has been cleaned away.
The report adds: "The owners of Picnic Park Deli have kindly supplied temporary prints to hang within the exhibition area and improve the feel of the space."
Earlier this month a council licensing board meeting heard evidence from Dorset Police of an array of out-of-season drink-related antisocial behaviour in the Gardens in recent months. The force was opposing a bid by BH2 restaurant Five Guys for an off-licence, however this was granted by the board.
