POLICE have arrested a man on suspicion of making threats to kill after being called to reports of a ‘concern for welfare’.
Southill Road in Charminster was taped off at either end after police were called at 8.15am.
A spokesperson from Dorset Police said: “The force received a report at 8.15am this morning of a concern for welfare of a man at a property in Southill Road, Bournemouth.
"Officers attended and road closures were put in place while they dealt with the incident.
"A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill at around 9.35am and the roads were reopened shortly afterwards."
Armed officers were among the units called to the scene.
