A FURTHER 38 homes could be built on grassland alongside the A35.
Hoburne Developments is seeking outline planning permission from Christchurch Borough Council for 'phase nine' of its Hoburne Farm Estate development in West Highcliffe.
The site, currently scrub and a small area of woodland, lies to the north east of the previous phase of the scheme, which is currently under construction.
It lies on the edge of the designated ‘Roeshot Urban Extension’ area, which crosses the A35, which is intended to contain 900 new houses and new public green space. Access would be via Cornflower Drive.
The initial layout proposed, although this will be subject to a later planning application, incorporates a large area of green space as a park and play area.
In its application, Hoburne says: "The site location and characteristics offer an excellent opportunity to deliver a new high quality residential community and family homes to meet local demands and broaden the range and quality of housing in the area."
