A ROAD is blocked in both directions in Creekmoor after a pensioner collided with a central island in the road.
The female driver, thought to be around 70-years-old, has been taken to hospital as a precaution and is not believed to have suffered any serious injuries.
Police and firefighters were called to Northmead Drive just after 10.50am this morning.
A silver Toyota Yaris, registered to a woman from Poole, was involved in the collision.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "It was reported that the car collided with the central island and rolled over."
Firefighters from both Poole and Westbourne were sent at 10.55am to make the vehicle and the scene safe.
The local authority was informed of the crash after the incident saw fluid left in the road.
There are also some exposed cables from lighting which had been knocked down on the central island during the crash.
The road reopened at 1.05pm.
