IN connection with the Bargates roadworks story (Dec 17).
I feel very sorry for all the hard working businesses in Christchurch, again they suffer.
Regarding roadworks at Bargates in Christchurch and also the work at Percy Road in Bournemouth, the work has to be done, but it’s the length of time to complete them which winds most people up.
Compare this to a six lane motorway in Japan recently that suffered a huge sink hole collapse destroying all underground services in half.
It took just six days to fully repair it for the use of traffic. You can see these images on Facebook.
You will see the two repairs at Bargates and Percy Road are pin pricks compared to this.
