FORTNIGHTLY bin collections? What rubbish!
We are two retired adults in our household and the waste bin goes out full every week. The re-cycling bin is also full each fortnight.
How on earth are families expected to manage with the waste of four or more residents?
The result will be rubbish being dumped in the streets and the council (council tax payers) having to pay to remove it.
For goodness sake, let’s have a bit of common sense from our councillors.
The council has certain responsibilities which it must maintain, rubbish collection being one.
Admirable progress has been made on re-cycling, but cheese-paring can only go so far before losing sight of the council’s reason for existence.
