STUCK with scores of others on Poole Road in Branksome on Saturday, I couldn’t help thinking how the Dorset CCG had managed to conclude that having just one major A&E department at Royal Bournemouth was a sensible option?
We were just in a Christmas shopping crawl.
Change the month to July with visiting holidaymakers and the frequent crawl becomes a gridlock.
The only way ambulances will navigate through it is to propel themselves upwards and fly to Royal Bournemouth.
I wasn’t aware that such emergency vehicles were in existence, but surely they must be at least in the pipeline and be cheap to produce, for the CCG will need them to prevent their proposals from endangering the lives of us all.
Does this mean James Bond himself will be driving us to hospital, or am I just dreaming?
It’s time for everyone in Dorset to wake up and put an end to the CCG’s dangerous plans before Poole Hospital is lost forever.
