A CAR crashed into a telegraph pole, closing a main road in Lulworth for several hours.
A blue Renault Megane collided with a telegraph pole along the main road outside Lulworth Camp on the B3070 on Sunday morning, at around 3.30am.
The road did not reopen until 6.20pm despite no one having been reported injured.
Such damage was caused to the telegraph pole that an engineer was called out to repair it.
The vehicle was recovered and employees of the local authority had to be called out because there was fuel and oil along the road.
