POLICE are calling for witnesses to come forward after thieves caused thousands of pounds in damage by smashing windows and stealing wheels from cars in a secure car park.
The incident occurred some time overnight on Monday at a compound belonging to Audi in Poole, based on Old Wareham Road.
Officers received the call at 8.34am after employees found seven models were found with smashed windows and their wheels taken.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We had reports of criminal damage to around seven vehicles that were parked in a secure compound belonging to Poole Audi on Vantage Way.
"It was reported that one window was smashed on each vehicle and the wheels stolen."
A spokesperson for Audi said they would be unwilling to comment on the matter while police are investigating.
