A Dorset Police officer has been charged with assaulting a man at a police station.
Police Constable Jamie Wallis has received a postal requisition to appear at Bournemouth Magistrates’ Court tomorrow to face a charge of common assault.
The charge relates to an incident that is said to have taken place on April 3 at Bournemouth police station involving a 30-year-old man from Bournemouth.
PC Wallis, 40 and based at Winton police station, has been removed from front-line duties while criminal proceedings are active.
