A powerboat was rescued from Studland Bay after running aground near Old Harry Rocks.
Poole Inshore Lifeboat was tasked at 2.30pm to the vessel, which had one person on board.
The man had deployed his anchor to try and stop the boat drifting but was in danger of drifting onto the rocks.
The Poole Inshore Lifeboat arrived on scene to find the vessel had gone aground near the shoreline in the corner of Studland Bay near Old Harry.
A crewman was put ashore to check all was well and then the lifeboat towed the vessel clear and back to Cobbs Quay.
