MUD, stones and earth have been strewn across the promenade at Southbourne following heavy rain on Saturday.
Part of the cliffside has slipped onto the pathway this morning.
Resident Paul Woods was running at the beach when he spotted the debris between Bistro on the Beach and Gordon Zigzag.
Mr Woods has since reported the incident to Bournemouth Borough Council.
“It struck me that it ought to be reported,” he said, citing concern following the landslide earlier this year at East Cliff.
Southbourne Coastguard were called to the scene to assess the situation and checked the area along with Dorset Police.
