A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital with serious chest injuries following a crash on the B3081 at Shaftesbury.
A member of the public alerted the emergency services to the collision at around 6.50pm.
A car and a motorbike were involved.
An air ambulance landed at the scene and took the motorcyclist to Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said the person is not in a "life-threatening or life-changing condition".
A number of road closures were put in place while the incident was ongoing.
The B3081 Higher Blandford Road was closed at its junction with the A30 and also at its junction with Zig Zag Hill.
The road closures were lifted at around 8.15pm.
