IF you’re married and living in Christchurch then you are more likely to have an affair than couples living in the rest of the conurbation.

The town is one of the most adulterous in Britain, according to a new table of the country's cheating hotspots.

Figures compiled by IllicitEncounters.com, a dating website for married people, showed that 660 people in the town were cheating on their husband or wife.

It was ranked 26th on the list of Britain’s top 100 cheating hotspots.

Bournemouth or Poole didn’t even make the list – but Weymouth came in even higher at 22nd.

High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire was ranked the top cheating hotspot in the country with 2,119 people in the town having affairs.

Every week, around 20,000 people in the UK are having affairs on IllicitEncounters.com.

Since its inception 13 years ago, more than a million people have registered with the site, with a 20 per cent surge in registrations in the past five years.
