POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an altercation between a man and woman in Parkstone.
Officers had reports of the incident on Sea View Road at 6.55pm on Friday.
Both are then understood to have left the area in a small black vehicle, possibly a Toyota.
Detective Sergeant Kim Goodenough, of Poole and Bournemouth CID, said: “At this time we don’t know whether this was purely a verbal argument or a physical altercation.
“We want to ensure that the man and woman are fine. Therefore we need to identify the couple and establish what precisely took place.
“I appeal to these two individuals to contact police so we can confirm you are well and nothing untoward happened.
“Also, I would urge further witnesses and anyone with information about the incident to come forward.”
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 5:335. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
