WITH 20 courts, 190 teams and two days of fierce competition, the annual Sandbanks Beach Volleyball Festival has been bigger and better than ever.
The event, which has taken place over the course of the weekend, is organised by Wessex Volleyball, and hundreds participate each year.
And due to the competition’s popularity, organisers this year launched a new category for men and women aged 19 and under to keep up with demand.

Players took to the beach in blazing sunshine to compete on both days of the festival, said to be the ‘biggest and best’ tournament on the British circuit by members of Wessex Volleyball.
The festival takes place each year thanks to the hard work of volunteers and the support of sponsors.
