A HANDFUL of travellers vehicles appear to have parked up in the main Sandbanks car park this morning.
They arrived overnight and there are five or six motorhome-type vehicles parked in the top corner of the Borough of Poole car park in Banks Road.
Originally they settled in the middle of the 550 space car park but when asked to move to one side by a parking attendant, did so.
By mid morning the car park was only about a third full of holidaymakers enjoying what is reported to be the hottest day of the year.
A camp of four motorhomes which settled near Bournemouth's Pier Approach, moved on late Tuesday.
Poole Council were also dealing with an encampment of three tents on Baiter Park.
Jeff Morley, regulatory team manager, Borough of Poole, said: “Following a site visit to Baiter Park this morning we can confirm that the three tents that were on the site have since moved on. The small group made minimal impact and the site will need very little cleaning.”
