POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a serious injury crash near Sherborne.
The collision, between a cyclist and a silver Vauxhall Corsa containing three people, took place in Thornford Road, Yetminster, at around 7.50pm on Thursday, June 4.
The car ended up on its roof as a result of the crash.
All involved sustained injuries, with the 25-year-old driver, from Farnborough, receiving a head injury.
A 15-year-old boy from Yeovil, travelling in the front seat, suffered a broken hand and has undergone surgery, and the back seat passenger, a 19-year-old man from Crewkerne, sustained an injured collar bone.
The cyclist, a 55-year-old man from Sherborne, suffered injuries to his left arm and right leg.
Police Constable Andrea Watson, of Dorchester and Sherborne police, said: "I am particularly keen to hear from an elderly woman who spoke to the cyclist directly after the collision to offer help, but unfortunately left before police arrived.
"I understand she may have witnessed the collision."
