A WOMAN has escaped serious injury after the blood donor van she was driving landed on its side following a crash near Bovington.
Emergency services rushed to Clouds Hill shortly after 12.30pm on Monday after reports the vehicle had hit a row of trees, resulting in at least one falling to the ground.
The NHS blood donor bus, usually used to transport nurses and staff to events, was travelling eastbound when the incident happened and the driver was the only person onboard.
Despite the damage to the vehicle and trees, the woman walked away having sustained only minor leg and hand injuries.
Paramedics treated her at the scene, but she did not require hospital treatment.
Dorset Police closed the road between Waddock Close and the Clouds Hill junction for several hours to allow for the recovery of the van while officers undertook investigation work.
