THERE will be egg hunts all over Dorset this Easter weekend.

Up to 60,000 visitors are expected to spend some of the Easter break enjoying the forecast good weather on the beach, but there are plenty of other activities on offer.

In Boscombe Gardens on Saturday there will be a family fun day and an Easter Egg hunt from 11am to 4pm.

The free event will include magicians, dancers, rides, art and craft stalls and mini golf.

There will be music from the carnival band and Bournemouth Swing Band and Wessex Birds of Prey will also be there.

All children that complete the nature trail will get an Easter prize.

An Easter food festival is on in Poole until Saturday with hot cross buns and other treats on sale in a marquee in Falklands Square.

Hot cross buns will also be given to all who travel on the Swanage railway on Good Friday or Easter Saturday and children on the train on Easter Sunday or Monday will be given a handmade Easter egg.

Children are invited to hunt Easter bunnies in Beales in the Dolphin Centre for a chocolate prize.

Visitors to Liberty's Reptile and Raptor Centre in Ringwood can take part in an Easter quiz and possibly win a family flying experience.

Every child that enters will get a chocolate prize.

The Easter Bunny, Alice and the Mad Hatter will also be helping out at a giant Easter Egg hunt at Lulworth Castle.

Over the weekend the Royal Signals Museum in Blandford is holding an Easter Egg hunt for children under the age of 12. There will also be a Trivial Pursuits fun trail.

Shoppers at Asda at Castlepoint in Bournemouth on Easter Saturday can take part in an Easter Egg hunt and children can create and decorate at a craft table.

A dinosaur Easter egg hunt will take place from Good Friday to Easter Monday at the Dinosaur Museum in Dorchester.
