A TRAVEL website is inviting Bournemouth residents to share the town’s hidden gems with the rest of the world.
Interactive social media network QQExplore helps travellers share information about the places they visit by creating their own maps and adding images, text, links, and videos.
Once a new map is placed on the site, other users of the website can see it and share it via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
Quentin Questor, QQExplore’s founder, said: “We know there are lots of big travel sites out there but we want to do something more personal to help spotlight places in smaller towns such as Bournemouth.
“There are literally millions of hidden treasures in our seaside towns that remain unknown to a wider public. Now local residents have the opportunity to put that right by telling the rest of the world.”
As well as maps, the website offers other functions allowing users to post comments, like other posts, write blogs, and organise polls.
