AN ELDERLY woman needed to be rescued using a hydraulic lift after a fall.
The woman, who is suffering from cancer, fell over in Carrington Lodge, Lawn Road in Milford on Sea early this morning.
Rather than move the woman down some awkward stairs in the building the fire service was called to use a lift to remove the woman from the first floor flat through a window.
The rescue was co-ordinated by Peter Crook from Eastleigh Fire headquarters.
The patient would then be taken to hospital in Southampton.
