SERVICES to the Channel Islands on Condor Ferries Liberation have been cancelled today due to strong winds.
In a statement the firm said: "We regret to inform you that predicted weather conditions for Saturday are inclement and are forecast to be outside of operating limits for berthing in the our Channel island ports."
The restrictions apply only to the new ferry and the Rapide service will continue to operate, taking passengers travelling inter-island and from St Malo for the Junior Siam Cup.
The cancelled services are:
03:00 Poole to Guernsey
06:30 Guernsey to Jersey
08:30 Jersey to Guernsey
10:00 Guernsey to Poole
14:00 Poole to Guernsey
17:30 Guernsey to Jersey
19:30 Jersey to Guernsey
21:00 Guernsey to Poole
The Condor Liberation was out of service for a week last month after striking the quayside at St Peter Port in Guernsey in windy conditions.
The new ferry was also disrupted earlier this month due to an engine fault.
Earlier this week the company issued an apology to its customers for the failings at the beginning of the state-of-the-art ferry's service.
