Poole-based Integrated security solutions manufacturer TDSi has signed a five year Strategic Cooperation Agreement with China Rail Chen Bang Technology Ltd (CRCBT).

The agreement will see TDSi's security systems installed as part of engineering projects for China Rail throughout the People's Republic of China.

TDSi's Managing Director, John Davies, joined representatives from CRCBT and China Rail for the signing of the agreement on 21st March 2015 at CRCBT’s Headquarters in Beijing.

Mr Davies said: “This agreement is the culmination of extensive negotiations and hard work between CRCBT, TDSi and China Rail, to provide the railways operator with the latest integrated security and access control solutions.

"CRCBT is China Rail Engineering's group solutions and delivery provider, executing all low voltage systems engineering projects for the railway network across the People's Republic of China – so our solutions will be providing security and safeguarding the transportation links used by millions of travellers each year.

"Naturally TDSi is very honoured and proud to be awarded this important and high profile contract.”

Additionally, TDSi has accredited CRCBT as its latest Platinum Partner, recognising the technical expertise, close working relationship and cooperation shared between the two organisations.

Mr Chen, General Manager of CRCBT said: “CRCBT required a strategic security technology partner in order to expand work on Rail and Metro projects across the country as well as proposed high-speed rail activities, so this is a vital component of our planned expansion. We are excited to become a Platinum Partner and to be working even more closely with TDSi.”

The agreement with CRCBT is a significant one for UK-based TDSi

“In the first year of this agreement it will account for 3% of TDSi's total turnover, rising to at least 6% during the second year," said Mr Davies. CRCBT plan for a 25% growth in our OEM agreement, year on year, for the next five years.

"With 20,000 stations on the China Rail network there is huge scope for ongoing projects – we are even assisting with security for a new China Rail headquarters project in Beijing, a new media centre, staff accommodation and medical facilities.

"This is a very exciting juncture for us and all the stakeholders involved with the expansion of these railway networks in China.”
