A PLATINUM wedding ring and an Armani watch were stolen in a Christchurch burglary.
Police said that it happened between 3.30-5.15pm on New Year’s Day in Bure Lane.
Thieves gained access to a bungalow there via a window, which was locked.
PC Peter Simpson, of Christchurch police, said: “This incident happened when the occupants were out having a meal with family. When they returned, they discovered their home had been broken into.
“This was a very upsetting incident for the victims on what should have been a day of celebration.
“I am appealing for any witnesses and anyone with information about those responsible, or who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area of Bure Lane at the time, to come forward and contact police.”
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101, quoting incident number 1:464.
