THIS has been a special year of Remembrance and although Armistice Day has been come and gone, the commemorations are not over.
It is heartening to see in places like Kinson, communities are actually putting up new memorials as well as remembering at existing ones.
The ceremony yesterday, involving residents, civic leaders and representatives from the services and youth organisations, was a moving and poignant, not least because the mother of Jonny Allott laid a floral tribute for her son. She is right. He and the other fallen heroes will never be forgotten.
