BOSCOMBE lifeguards are urging beachgoers to take care in the sea following a series of rescues over the weekend.
A pair of girls were spotted struggling on Saturday after getting caught up in a strong rip current.
They were brought safely back to shore by lifeguard Chris Hornsby who used a rescue board to reach the teenagers.
On the same day the lifeguards also rescued a young body boarder and a woman, who also got caught up in the undercurrents.
Mike Winter, RNLI lifeguard supervisor, said: “With the unusually mild weather and good surfing conditions, it was good to see lots of people enjoying the beach and the water.
“Chris did a good job of spotting the girls and bringing them to safety in tricky conditions.”
He added: “Anyone heading down to the coast this autumn should come to a lifeguarded beach where we can keep them safe while their having fun.”
