TRANSFORMERS fans had the ultimate thrill when Optimus Prime came to Poole on Sunday.
The life-size replica Optimus Prime truck rolled up to Toys ‘R’ Us at Nuffield Industrial Estate, where legions of children got to see the robot leader of the Autobots close up – and even sit inside the cabin for a photo.
The event, which coincides with the new film Transformers: Age of Extinction, also marked the arrival in store of a limited edition die cast collector figure of Optimus Prime as he looked originally when the toys were produced 30 years ago – alongside his modern incarnation. Numbers are limited to 100 in the Poole store and they are expected to go quickly.
