A CHRISTCHURCH GP will be cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats to raise money for Macmillan Caring Locally.
The 1,000-mile ride will begin on Friday for GP Dr Simon James and his cousin Liz Swanson.
Simon said: “We are doing the ride in support of Macmillan Caring Locally. This local charity provides care and support for cancer patients and their families.
“Without their skill and compassion we would not be able to provide the excellent service that seriously ill patients receive.
“I do not think that people appreciate that Macmillan Caring Locally is a local charity providing care within the Christchurch and Bournemouth area.”
To support Simon go to justgiving.com/Simon-James14 or text AOUS92 to 70070 which will automatically donate £1 to the charity.
Neal Williams, trust secretary of Macmillan Caring Locally said “We are so grateful to Simon and Liz for taking on this huge challenge.”
