Romeo and Juliet

This abridged version of Shakespeare’s classic tragedy using a young, energetic cast of three skilfully intertwines original text with contemporary modern language and a live DJ soundtrack to create a world in which the lovers and their fate speak directly to a 21st century audience. Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra

There are two opportunities to see Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra at Bournemouth Pavilion this month. Beethoven’s Fifth will be performed on March 1, along with Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto and Siegfried Idyll by Wagner. Dorset Opera 40th Anniversary Auction

The Dorset Opera charity has teamed up with Duke’s the Dorchester auctioneers to host an auction on March 8. Hosted by Dorset Opera patrons Mr and Mrs Anthony Pitt-Rivers at their Tithe Barn in Hinton St Mary, the event will raise money to increase the bursary fund to help more young people attend the charity’s residential summer school.
