ON paper at least, the list of things being done by the staff and management at the Royal Bournemouth in the wake of the Care Quality Commission report seems comprehensive.
The hospital has 11 weeks to implement essential changes before CQC inspectors return to see that the significant problems they found have been or are being addressed.
The hospital trust chairman, Jane Stichbury, the former chief constable, says courage is needed to bring in the reforms necessary. Courage yes, but more importantly, the right leadership.
