CYCLING fans are in for a treat next month when the third annual Bournemouth Cycle and Tri Expo comes to town.

The event, in association with Primera Sports, which has shops in Charminster and Parkstone, will be held at the Bournemouth Inter-national Centre on Saturday, November 16, 10am until 5pm.

Following a successful event last year, the 2013 expo will be held in the larger Purbeck Hall and entry will remain free of charge.

The main area of the hall will be given over the trade stands from some of the biggest names in the industry – covering everything from bikes to nutrition.

There will also be a section for cycle and triathlon clubs, a race and events area and a maintenance zone.

This year will also see roller racing events for adults and children, with prizes for fastest in class and children’s stalls.

For the first time, there will be a pre-expo ride, leaving the BIC at 8am.

Organiser Alex Croucher, from Primera, said: “We’re doing the pre-show ride-out, which should be good.

“It will be about a two-hour ride. The event has grown quite a lot since we started three years ago.

“We have more stands this year and more bits and pieces going on during the day.

“On top of that, what’s really nice is we have managed to keep it free entry as we wanted to give something to the local cyclists.”
