WITH Halloween fast approaching Margaret Green Animal Rescue has appealed for help to house some of their black cats.
Church Knowle centre manager Claire Ross said: “We have some adorable cats in rescue at the moment, including brothers George and Marley - a delightful pair who are only six months old.
“We also have the very handsome Salem, who loves a cuddle and is a real gent.
“Then there's Rosco, who is a timid little boy who needs someone to love him and help him gain confidence. All of our cats and kittens would make a great addition to a family.”
Staff at the rescue centre find black cats the hardest felines to re-home, despite the belief they're a sign of good luck.
Margaret Green Animal Rescue is hoping prospective owners will chose the 'spookiest' time of year to adopt their very own lucky charm.
Claire said: “We don't know why black cats are less popular than tabbies and gingers, but certainly we have several black cats that would love to find new homes.
“Why not give a purr-fect ending to a cat and hopefully bring yourself some luck too.”
